Checking, updating and verifying your links
Many people, including myself, overlook and mostly forget about the sites that we have already linked to from our websites. How often do you go back to check on the out-bound links on your Links or Resources page/s?
Are these links still active? Do you still link to a legitimate site or has it been hacked or spammed?
Whether you are a blogger, webmaster or site owner, you need to check all the links you keep on your site periodically, simply because many sites move, change names, or disappear, etc.
Keeping links to “dead” sites, links to irrelevant sites or links to link farms can hurt your site’s reputation. It also shows your site visitors that you do not maintain your site.
Do not delay, do it right now !
