Vanessa Fox bids farewell to Google Webmaster Central
This is truly sad and happy news at the same time. Vanessa Fox is moving on to new ventures and leaves behind a legacy after just two years at Google.
It is sad because she has truly helped webmasters connect with Google or perhaps it is the other way around. Perhaps Rand Fishkin summed it up correctly:
“I don’t believe that anyone, outside of a few of Vanessa’s close friends, realize how much she’s done to help Google’s public image, their bottom line and their relations with webmasters, nor do most of us know how much Vanessa’s done to fight for webmasters internally at Google.”
Why is it good news… Well, I am not yet sure. Like Rand and others I truly feel that Vanessa has certainly become part of the SEO and webmaster households and has left us something to build from.
OK, I am not going to go on about Vanessa’s departure so simply head over to the following blog posts to see how much Vanessa has done for us.
